KYCRA and NCRA Respond to Artificial Intelligence

NCRA created a position statement on the dangers of using artificial intelligence (AI) in legal proceedings. NCRA encourages all state associations, as well as the general membership, to share this statement with their state and local bar associations, attorneys, and any other parties they feel may be unaware of and impacted by the challenges and problems of having AI handling legal and other binding proceedings.

The A to Z Program

Court reporting is a lucrative career with application not only in court and deposition assignments, but also in television closed captioning and equal access for the deaf and hard-of-hearing in private and public settings (CART). If your interests include technology and a command of the English language, court reporting is a great fit for you. Career options include the ability to work from home and flexibility in scheduling.

Interested in a career in court reporting but really want to know what you’re getting into?  The National Court Reporters Association has created the Discover Steno A to Z program just for you.  A to Z is a free eight-week introductory course that teaches students how to write the alphabet and simple words in steno before committing to enrollment in a court reporting school.  Courses are available across the country.
