Court reporting is a lucrative career with application not only in court and deposition assignments, but also in television closed captioning and equal access for the deaf and hard-of-hearing in private and public settings (CART). If your interests include technology and a command of the English language, court reporting is a great fit for you. Career options include the ability to work from home and flexibility in scheduling. Interested in a career in court reporting but really want to know what you’re getting into? The National Court Reporters Association has created the Discover Steno A to Z program just for you. A to Z is a free eight-week introductory course that teaches students how to write the alphabet and simple words in steno before committing to enrollment in a court reporting school. Courses are available across the country. Sign up for the free A-Z course and a volunteer instructor in your area will be in contact.
